A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

The year is 2100, and to celebrate the turn of the century the worlds first space Olympics has been organised. The Olympic committee was having a great time brain storming new event ideas, but were having trouble thinking of a substitute for climbing - as of course in zero gravity climbing would be pretty easy, and which way is even up?! However, eventually they came up with this: Gravity Grappling - an exciting extreme endurance sport where you have to pull your way through incoming obstacles and get as far as you can. It seemed close enough to earth climbing because of the grappling hook and, well, the rocks but undeniably had an exciting twist to bring spectators in from far and wide.

Blast, pull and swing your way into a new highscore.

While I made all the artwork myself, the music is from Tallbeard Studios. They have some awesome stuff and you can check them out here.

I am using dreamlo for my leaderboard system, and while it is fantastic if anything goes wrong it is largely out of my control. However, your highscore will still be saved locally.

---

Use WSAD or arrow keys to move, mb1 to shoot and mb2 to grapple.

You can either download the Gravity Grapple installer or the zip file. Both contain the same stuff, it just depends what you prefer.

Good game but i have 2 problems with it:
-The controls are a kinda hard to get used to which brings to my other problem of.
-The character is too slow in the sense that if a rock is large and there's no rocks to grapple to there is nothing you can do.
But other than that, graphics are REALLY nice and all around a good idea. But i couldnt find the connection to the theme.

You're meant to be quite slow, the game being in space and all - it takes time to build up momentum. Though I do understand what you mean about the impossible situations. I think its because I am spawning the rocks randomly and the amount of rocks builds up over time. Therefore it is possible that you end up in a situation with nothing to grapple onto and a rock headed right at you. However, as you get further into the game this becomes less and less of a problem. Thanks for the feedback though!
